Riders Visit!

OK so I've been a little behind on this...sorry! Courtney and Shelby came to visit us like the first week of September. AND they were our first official visitors!! My Aunt Mary took me to Ikea again so we could get a bed and comforter and everything they needed to sleep, which was awesome. So we are now ready to accept any guests! So they arrived early on Sept 4th and we powered through the day trying to see as much of London as we could. We ended up starting with Buckingham Palace, where we realized we could buy tickets to go inside and see it! Obviously we had to do that!! But we had an hour or so to spare before we could get in so we walked down to see Big Ben, Parliament, and Westminster Abbey and stop for some lunch, fish & chips! (we weren't allowed to take any pictures inside the Palace, just when you got out into the greens)

The following day I had work so the girls went off to see the Tower of London and then go on the London Eye, however they ended up spending all day at the Tower and never making it to the Eye! Then they met Ian for dinner and the three of them went to Kings Cross to see Platform 9 3/4 from Harry Potter. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures but I do believe there are some of the girls posing like they were walking through it!

On their last day we decided to go into Central London and see Piccadilly Circus, get some lunch and walk around while we made our way to Oxford St. where all the shopping is! One thing I'm loving about London, and enjoyed showing the Riders, is how much street food/markets are set up all over town. We decided to walk around and pick a place to eat and found this awesome pizza place, where they had converted and old car as a pizza oven! After that we went shopping for the rest of the day and then waited for Ian to get home so we could all go to Abbey Road! It's actually really close to where we live, which is awesome! I had been told that but it was only when Shelby got here that we decided it was necessary to go! Shelby really wanted all four of us to walk across but for half the time we just watched her try to get the timing perfect like she wanted it, and then I decided to join her while Ian and Courtney took pictures.

It was a great three days, and on Friday we all were up in the early hours of the morning to get to the airport to get to Ireland. We all thankfully made it (I was a little worried on Thursday night)! Thank you Courtney and Shelby for coming to visit us! We really enjoyed having you both, it was a really fun few days!! xox
